Our Mission

Solar is not a new technology; it’s been around since the 1950s. However, over the last decade, advances in technology have driven the price down and fueled its popularity, not to mention the federal tax credits that have been available since 2008. This relatively new interest in the industry has brought with it some questionable business practices, from manufacturers and marketers to solar contractors, all trying to make a quick buck off the solar boom.

At The Solar Truth, we want to provide a place for homeowners to cut through all the noise generated by this billion-dollar industry, so you can make an informed decision about whether or not solar is right for you. We’ll look at solar industry trends, cutting-edge solar science, and some of the misinformation surrounding solar panel installations and backup battery technology. Maybe you already have solar and are looking to upgrade. Perhaps you’re researching solar for the first time; our goal is to debunk myths about solar technology, expose fraud, and shine the truth on the solar industry so you can make a more informed decision to go solar!

Adam Evans

Adam has spent many years in the construction industry, specializing as a contractor in electric, gas, plumbing, and solar. His passion for solar technology helped him earn a NABCEP certification, the highest 3rd party solar certification in the world.

Along with solar technology, Adam loves rock climbing, mountain biking, and calisthenics. So much so he started the Rock Fitness Climbing Gym and later purchased a second climbing gym, The Wall - both located in beautiful Southern California.

His latest endeavor, the Solar Truth, began when he started noticing the massive volume of misleading information and unscrupulous marketing practices around solar. Adam hopes to share his vast knowledge of solar technology acquired over ten years in the industry while helping homeowners make the best-informed decisions before going solar.

Jesse Green

As co-founder of a thriving solar company, Jesse believes in providing his customers with good, old-fashioned customer service while providing the best craftsmanship and attention to detail possible. Jesse is a recipient of the NABCEP certification: the highest 3rd party solar certification in the world.

Although he is a successful businessman in the solar industry, solar energy is not Jesse’s only passion in life. He supports and sponsors numerous non-profit groups and organizations throughout Southern California by donating his time and money to help others in need. He is also very active in youth athletic programs, sponsoring many local baseball, softball, soccer, and other various sports organizations. He enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking and camping. However, his greatest joys come from being a husband and a father. As a father of four young children, he is aware of the expense of raising a family and works diligently to help ease the financial burdens of his customers.

Jesse is quick to point to his deep faith in God and his tremendous gratitude for all he has been blessed with. He looks forward to many more years of helping others enjoy the benefits of solar energy.
